Rare Camco Oaklawn Oval badge kit

Just picked this up in the U.S. Big drums (bass drum is a custom 18" x 24") from around 1969/70 which sound astounding. Scared the hell out of my band when I tried them out. Interesting "old fashioned" stuff like joining a 10" and 8" shell together to get the 18" depth. 16" is a Chanute period drum and will probably become part of my Chanute kit.

I bet that huge bass drum sounds like thunder and lighning! Nice old vintage patina on those babies. Natural maple gets that nice honey yellow colour when it's aging. I din't get that with the 8" and 10" drums though...explain one more time. I'm a stupid Swede after all..

Aha, so there are actually three support rings in the shell. Interesting construction. I've seen a couple of modern drum brands offering super deep bass drum shells (tunnels), but I suppose Camco was rather unique offering that already in the 60s.
